worksurfaces
Stone or Corian. Ceramic or Mosaic are just some of the myriad of options.
Stone worksurfaces fall into two main categories. Natural and Engineered (man made) Not all natural stones are suitable for use as kitchen worktops; so engineered stone is worthy of consideration and can offer colours not available from the natural palate.
Most stone tops are available Polished or Honed (Matt). Generally the natural stones with a honed finish will require a sealer to be re-applied every 6 months. Alternatively they can be left to patina.
Corian is a blend of natural minerals, pigments and pure acrylic polymer. It is non-porous and can be joined seamlessly. Corian can be shaped to meet any design requirements.
The colour palate extends to over 100. Ceramic countertops from SieMatic have a matt surface. The 3mm thick porcelain covering is 100% natural product, produced from the same raw materials as conventional porcelain.
